Ouiwey Collins

Ouiwey Collins grew up in the house of funk. His father is Bootsy Collins, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame bassist who helped build the P-Funk sound, and Ouiwey has spent his life bringing his own edge and flair to whatever he touches, from the stage and the DJ booth to the edit bay.

On record he works right alongside his dad. He is featured on “Siento Bombo” from Bootsy’s Tha Funk Capitol of the World (2011), on “The Ickey Shuffle” (2023), Bootsy’s tribute to Bengals legend Ickey Woods, and on “Bootdullivan So Soopafly” with Kokane and Daz Dillinger from Bootsy’s 23rd album, Album of the Year #1 Funkateer (2025). His own releases include S.O.B. (Son of a Bootsy) and “Champion Lover” with The Ouiwey 5. Over the years his collaborations have run from George Clinton to Bruno Mars, and his work has turned up in video games, anime, and on MTV and Nickelodeon.

Behind the camera he is a creative director and video producer. He builds websites for artists, including Southern-soul star Bigg Robb, and he has built a whole family of worlds of his own: Ouiwey Vision and its browser games, Wey.Tv for shows and Originals, and the Mini-Weys and their prehistoric home, WeyRock.

Faith sits at the center of it all. In 2006 he teamed up with DPB to serve a youth ministry called The Basement, and the two went on to work with youth pastors across the country. He gives back through causes like the Make-A-Wish Foundation and mentoring young people, and everything he makes carries the same message: faith, family and funk.
